نقش رستم (Naqsh-e Rustam) (فارسي: نقش رستم) ھڪ قديم قبرستان آھي جيڪو ايران جي صوبو فارس جي شهر تخت جمشيد کان تقريبا 12 ڪلوميٽر شمال مغرب ۾ واقع آھي۔ ھي نقش رجب کان ٿورڙا سو ميٽر جي فاصلے تي واقع آھي۔
Here you see four tombs belonging to Achaemenid kings carved out of the rock face at a considerable height above the ground, some Sassanid reliefs and Ka'ba-ye Zartosht (the tower like construction).
This is the most famous of the Sassanid rock reliefs, and depicts The victory of Shapur I (241-272 AD) over Roman emperors Valerian (standing) and Philip the Arab (kneeling).
A fascinating royal resting place of 4 Achamenid Kings. Look for a bas-relief of a man standing with folded arms. It is the oldest one among the stone carvings from 1250 BC, Ilamite Period.
The man with the unusual cap gives the site its name, Naqsh-e Rostam, "Picture of Rostam", because the relief was locally believed to be a depiction of the mythical hero Rostam.
